At the moment, a few members of the Shambhala sangha (including myself) are in the midst of putting together official activities guides for families, children, and Bodhi School programs; and I've actually been looking for a complete set of masks to include in the resource manuals. If it's not all to much to ask you, would you be open to sharing your masks through the new Shambhala Families and Children Guide (assuming that it becomes an official document)?

Sincerely,
ColinAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2769808884499366340.post-40230952993573093882016-05-30T19:39:02.052-04:002016-05-30T19:39:02.052-04:00Great! This show ...I am impressed by the lack of comments. This show exactly your point. We, as a society, don't know how to react when someone come out, as you did beautifully as a bisexual. I was first surprised as I though that because you are happily married with two beautiful kids you can only by straight as a cat. I guess that is why we don't understand bisexual. As we are a monogamous society you can only be straight or gay. Eventually, if you change partner gender, you will be consider as an homosexual that did not dare before, or worst as someone that used to be gay but now is "normal" again..
(Hallelujah).
Anyway thanks for having open my mind a little bit more. It is true that for PhD programs, knowing what your end-goals is (i.e. what type of PhD program you want to be in) will influence what type of MA program you do into :)

If you're into theoretical linguistics (syntax, morphology, phonetics, etc.) then an MA in linguistics (not applied ling) will be more valuable as it will give you the bases you need to enter (and be successful) in your future pursuits. Even in APLING there is a wide variety of applications of linguistics. If you're interested in teaching and learning, then UMB (or something like UMB) would be appropriate. If you're interested in a PhD in an area of cognition and psychology of language, another program would be best (again, keeping that end-goal in mind).

Hope all is well :-)Apostolos K. Writing gives me joy, a feeling of doing what I was meant to do -therefore yes it would do my ego a world of good if others call me writer, artist but ultimately, creativity comes in many forms. Prehistoric cave dwellers sketching on rock were artists, Van Gogh wasn't respected either and yet... As long as you care enough for your art... just my two cents worth.c. scirihahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16643928703524180915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2769808884499366340.post-13546252153041475782015-11-29T00:07:06.728-05:002015-11-29T00:07:06.728-05:00Hah! I feel bad for nodding without really listening to them, but boy am I happy about my new idea! I especially agree with number 1, though. Once I get beyond those first 350 of the day, it's usually smooth sailing.
